A Fringe Phenomenon? Reader comment on item: Pipes' Dreams

In recent media debates between pro-Israeli and pro-Arab spokespersons, the latter have taken a new party line in response to evidence of Arab antisemitism and the promotion of violence. They have argued that that these are fringe phenomena that could be found in the US, Israel, or anywhere else. Never mind that evidence of government complicity is brought, or of mosque sermons conducted Friday after Friday and even broadcast on government-sponsored radio.
Thus, it was with similar incredulity that I read comments branding Dr. Pipes' evidence of American Muslim extremism fringe.
Dr. Pipes was right before; he is correct now. If we do not recognize the clear and present danger posed by Islamists, the casualties will be greater in the inevitable war to protect our way of life.
