The reason why we don't hear much about Muslim scientists is because for the most part they reject the ideology of Mohammed, and instead focus on the Five Pillars as opposed to using jihad to conquer the world. They have a very secular view of Islam and are supportive of Western values that should be more prevalent in Muslim lands everywhere.
