my societyReader comment on item: Islam Driving the Social and Legal Agenda in the West Submitted by esraa (Egypt), Jun 29, 2009 at 07:24 i wear hijab. and im living in a muslim society, in which there r muslim women who do not wear a scarf. but i do not think of them as u say. for me hijab is a step towards God, that's it. it does not mean that women without hijab r going to hell or sth. u should not feel so bad when u see a woman with hijab or at least u should respect her choice. actually i can compare muslim women to nuns because actually both r humanbeings who think that hiding their hair is a step towards God. i m sorry for writting the whole thing in the 1st place because i think that some westerns want to hate islam and muslims so such a discussion is in vain Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
