...What the United Muslims Association of Florida, Tampa Bay Area Chapter said is it would be good to have Muslim students attending these Islamic classes "period"....

I think from education point of view, the presence of such students is good and should make the class even more interesting. Remember the teachers of these classes are not Muslims which might make them tend to give a view of a foreigner.

End of the day whoever attend the class should be able to walk away with non-biased view and information.
