Deep ConcernReader comment on item: But he was good to his mother: Murdering for militant Islam Submitted by George (United States), Dec 6, 2003 at 10:12 Your article is worrisome. I don't exaggerate if I say I am confused. How do I tell if my Arab neighbor is an Islamist or an Islamists' sympathizer? Keeping low threshold of suspicion towards any Arab or Muslem would further isolate the "streamline" moderate ones, whereas other ethnic groups and immigrants are welcomed to join the big American melting pot!Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Daniel Pipes replies: Your question raises a legitimate issue, one which I have touched on several times (such as http://www.danielpipes.org/article/1009 and http://www.danielpipes.org/article/1195). Here, let me just say that this is a problem that is best dealt with through discussion and debate, not through - as is the case now - averting attention.Comment on this item
