Islam discourages tribalismReader comment on item: The Middle East's Tribal Affliction Submitted by Ahmad (United States), Jan 29, 2008 at 19:16 Larry B, Examples of west interfering: Algeria, Egypt, Sudan are few examples of clear interferance. The west does not and will not accept a islamic authority in any muslim country. Most changes are done by elections but are rapidly anatgonized by west and its locally supported regimes.Clear examples: Algeria and Palestine. Larry, I think you have a distorted view of islam and Mohammad PBU.He did not order his armies to terrorize anyone. Islam was spread mostly by muslim merchants that were honest and truthful.People that traded with them saw that in them and converted/reverted. Jewish people living under islam flourished and were treated fairly compared to other nations that lived with. thanks, A Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
