Reader comment on item: Exclude Islamists from the West?

Submitted by Phil Greend (Canada), Dec 29, 2007 at 19:48

Now is the time that we should be questioning ... if we should be allowing in to the West , islamists.

For far too long people have been afraid to say " maybe there should be restictions on islamists coming here ". People were scared that they would be branded as racists or islamophobic.

We have freedom of speech, that was paid for with our soldiers blood in various wars.

We should be able to use it to discuss anything. Including if we should allow in, people from a culture in which some of the people have attacked, murdered, raped or kidnapped people in our culture.
