There is no such thing as an "Islamist"

Reader comment on item: Exclude Islamists from the West?

Submitted by Michael S (United States), Jan 13, 2015 at 12:06

I keep having to check these articles, to see if they're current or from 2000 or 2009. They're all about stupid Westerners, trying to pick out the good Nazis and separate them from the bad Nazis. That is not how we won WWII, and that is not how we are going to win the war against nameless, amorphous "TERROR!".

As far as I can see, there is no such thing as an "Islamist". There is simply Islam, A country can never rid itself of "Islamists", until it bans Muslims. We used to ban "Anarchists" from immigrating to the US. It was a futile effort, because we enforced the law by asking immigrants whether they were Islamists when they stepped off the boat. With Muslims, it's not such a difficult task.
