The Islamist Rapist, the Prostitutes, and the Policewomen

Dahir Ibrahim, 21, an asylum-seeker in the UK from Somalia, has for four years been waging a one-man campaign of raping prostitutes. Enith Walker, his first victim, told the Birmingham police in March 2003 how he held a knife to her throat and then raped her. Other women he attacked, often while high on qat, reported likewise that he would cut them or kill them if they did not submit to him.

When taken into custody by police, in the delicate wording of the Times (London), "he revealed a deeply misogynistic streak, refusing to speak to women officers and saying in interview that prostitutes were ‘dirty women' and that ‘a woman's place was at home, not on the street'."

Comment: These are the two sides of the same Islamist coin: a sense of entitlement with prostitutes mixed with a puritanical unwillingness to speak to female police officers. (August 14, 2006)
