There is a long history of women being dealt with in a harsh and unfair way by islam. The holy book of islam says that the prophet mohammed once commented that women are not as smart as men , the value of the testimony of a woman is one half that of a man , mohammed said he looked in to hell and saw that most of the people there were women , and worst of all the founder of islam mohammed at age 53 had sex with a 9 year old girl. It is not a surpise that women are not treated well in islam.

This needs to change , there are good muslims , they must speak up for the basic rights of women. This will be the start of people seeing the islamic people as nice.
