the first sentence of your statement says it all. Jesus forbade violence in His name. Muhammed insisted on violence in his name. Philosophies and intellectual fashion which conflicts with the christian ideal have arose in history, these should not be confused with the teachings of Jesus. Nazism, Marxism, Liberalism, Socialism and their advocates have caused conflict and even took aim to destroy the teachings and spititual example of Jesus Christ. In the case of Muhammed, the central organizing principle is unity in the expansion of the belief system by violence, and justification of violence if, in the minds of Muslim leaders, the violence will advance "Islam". No nation on earth promotes violence to advance the notion of "Heaven". Islam was born of violence, sustained by violence, and perpetuated by violence.
