Reader comment on item: MPAC, CAIR, and Praising Osama bin Laden

It's funny, but in Serbo-Croatian-Bosnian-Montenegrin, Lekovic's name means "healer or pharmacist." Anyway, this is another example of how much radical Islam, especially the Wahbabi influence has penetrated the Balkans. Much of this occurred BEFORE the most recent strife in the 1990's. Visiting Arabs tried to by out my uncle's land in Bosnia way back in 1982! It should also be noted that the Bosnian government, under Izetbegovic issued Bin Laden a passport (essentially free rein around Europe) in 1992.

The point here is simply that both the politically correct Left and the knee jerk cold war Right in the U.S. continue to demonize the Serbs who have been our allies in two world wars and have been on the sharp end of resisting Islam for over 600 years. These allies of our have been brutalized by the Clinton-Albright orbit and now the Bushies are trying to take a turn.

Just because I dislike Putin and his Soviet residue does not mean that the Russians are not correct in resisting the independence of Kosovo and what that might mean for places like America's own Kosovo in the SouthWest if we don't do something about stopping the deluge coming in.

Much as I support this website, one of its shortcomings is the blind spot viz a viz the Balkans and the fate of Orthodox Christians. Word up: Opposing Islam in the Balkans does not make someone a fan of Milosevic.
