Democracy at home - Tyranny Abroad

Reader comment on item: After Saddam? Remaking the Mideast

Submitted by Ahmed (Pakistan), Mar 14, 2003 at 15:03

If America was so sincere with Democracy, Afghanistan should have had elections by now.

Iraq will be no exception. As long as Americans control the oil wells there is no need for democracy as most people will like to kick Americans out.

Also if America is a champion of their religion democracy they wouldn't try to topple democratically elected president of Venezuela.
