The reasons Bush gave for going to war do not matter. What he does, now that winning the war as he envisioned it ending appears far-fetched, matters. On this site I have recommended Bush declare Victory, and leave the Iraqis to settle their own quarrels, with military intervention should they try to acquire WMD again. The same can be said of the PA and Hamas. Declare victory of democracy, and let the Jews deal with the Jihadis. I am glad Mr Pipes came to these conclusions as well.
