CAIR and Jamil Al-Amin

Reader comment on item: CAIR: 'Moderate' friends of terror

Submitted by Eric Gartman (United States), Apr 22, 2002

I was assigned to cover CAIR's press conference following the murder of an Atlanta policeman by Al-Amin two years ago. Not only did CAIR deny that Al-Amin had any involvement in the murder, they went so far as to suggest a religious persecution against him because he was Muslim. CAIR portrayed Al-Amin as a pillar of the community and didnt even mention his involvement in radical politics as a member of the Black Panthers in the 1960's. According to CAIR, Al-Amin was given unfair treatment since he was a Muslim, and continued to champion his cause even after he was convicted of murder.

I'm glad Daniel Pipes has come forward to expose the truth about CAIR. They are not a Muslim civil rights group, but a radical Islamist group whose influenced needs to be stopped
