Reader comment on item: Why Hamas['s Electoral Victory] Leaves Me Neutral

Submitted by J.S. (Canada), Jan 31, 2006 at 15:40

Dr. Pipes' final sentence was very amusing, but I don't know about remaining neutral...(is that closing one's eyes?)

What concerns me is the "religious" aspect of Hamas which brings to the fore a whole new set of variables (tending to escalate the conflict from a political/secular realm into a religious one).

What I hope the Pals get is precisely what they asked for -- a gender apartheid, rabidly homophobic, and zenophobic, Sharia law based society...cutting off of hands, limbs, feets heads, etc. then everyone can enjoy the spectacle. (Btw, what's with that protruding bump on al-Zawahiri's head; it looks like a growth -- is he sprouting a horn or what?)
