in response to reader comment: Can be a nightmare scenario

Reader Sheridan postulates that Russian or Chinese terroristic actors are not likely to commrit suicidal attacks for reasons of a differing ideological sense of reality; but the reality is that the issues of the oriental mindset versus the occidental take on more modern causes of action for the reason that history has demonstrated a differing results of influences over the centuries and strangely, technology favored trhe occidetnal bent more than the oriental.
Think not? Gunpowder; where was that truly developed?
Yet, where has/have most of the world's conflicts centered when the advanced use of gunpowder and its variant modern forms found its way to the west and China's entry into the modern age did not really move forward until the Stalinist influences of the Maoist revolutionaries forced the Republic to Taiwan and they learned to copy occidental technology in order to make their claim of superiority against the West.
Now the threat is not gunpowder, but nuclear: gee, where did they learn that from? Was it occidetnal Russia or oriental Russia?
The nightmare has already begun for some; it is waiting for others to fall to the delsuion that any one source of dominant power becomes sufficiently capable to exercise enough confidence in thinking they can survive a release of catastrophic military might after enough provocation and who will guarantee that scenario?
That question was already posed and is answered in the Ukraine. Its danger of expanding into other parts of the unstable regions of ideologically differing protagonists and the potential of other nuclear armed actors being forced to commence those types of preparations must face a certain reality: mutually assured destruction has never been tested and the circumstances are that no one really knows how that will transpire.
Not even the only world power that actually used nuclear forces in order to win, America, knows how it will end and with the current 46th American Administrative Chief Executive unable to diffuse any such situation, either in confidence of the self or by questionable advise, it remains to be seen who will be challenged enough, either, Russia, the Iranian Islamic Regime, CCP China, North Korea, or whomever, will force America into the nuclear exchange that will inevitably be the conclusion of the nightmare scenario alluded to here.
