Antisemitism: A Reference Handbook - Page 322
Jerome A. Chanes · ABC-CLIO, 2004

Holocaust "revisionists" cloak their antise- mitic agenda of denial of the Holocaust in the garb of pseudo-science and pseudo-scholarship.

Israelophobia a term-of-art signifying hatred of Israel and anti-Zionism. At this level—that is, beyond legitimate criticism of the policies of Israel—Israelophobia is antisemitism.

Jewish Political Studies Review

Jewish Political Studies Review 16:1-2 (Spring 2004)
Review Essay:
What's "New" - and what's not -
about the New Antisemitism?

Jerome A. Chanes

... Now there is a gaggle of books on the "new" antisemitism, fueled in large measure by the explosion in 2002 of antisemitic activity in Europe resulting from "Israelophobia."...
The books under review here collectively urge the question of whether there is, indeed, a "new antisemitism." To put the question more specifically, is the new expression of Israelophobia (to use Hillel Halkin's clunky but effective locution - ["What's Old, What's New - Continuities and Discontinuities" (unpublished remarks), YIVO Conference on Old Demons, New Debates: Anti-Semitism in the West, New York, 11 May 2003]) antisemitism in its classic sense or is it something new, or perhaps, as some have suggested, is it not antisemitism at all?
What is antisemitism and how do we classify antisemitism? Historically, there appears to be a jumble: the cultural and political anti-Judaism of the ancient world (was this antisemitism?); the religious anti-Judaism of Christianity, extending from the first centuries of the Common Era to contemporary times; the anti-Judaism of Enlightenment and post-Enlightenment Europe, which achieved its full expression in the racialist antisemitism of the nineteenth century; the antisemitism of classical Islam (again, is it antisemitism, or something more nuanced?); and the contemporary manifestation of "Israelophobia" - hatred of the State of Israel.

Isms And Phobias
Ruth King
Outpost
Afsi, October 2010
... And that brings us back to phobias and realIsrael is now being pressed to dismember itself, to give up its religious and historic patrimony, to accept the escalating demands of (extremists) barbarians, all in the guise of "peace." For me the term "Islamism" is just dandy. This evil ideology can join those two other "isms," Communism, and Nazism, all evil, all imperialist and all responsible for murder of millions upon millions of innocents and spurred in their genocidal quests by one of their driving "isms"—anti-Semitism. And, for the record, even appeasers did not sink to calling Nazism a peaceful ideology hijacked by a teeny, tiny minority. There were noble souls who opposed Hitler throughout Europe and even in Germany itself but their efforts could not stop the march of death. Only overwhelming power did. Appeasers and liars did, however, call Communism a great ideology perverted by meanies like Stalin and Brezhnev and their comrades in crimes against humanity. But, another "ism—perhaps the noblest liberation movement of history, namely Zionism, played a great role in opposing and vanquishing Communism. The "refuseniks" of Russia and its satellite nations, inspired by Jewish success in Israel and by its lightning victory in 1967, came together to oppose Communism and demand the right to practice their faith openly and to emigrate to Israel. Their valor inspired and galvanized other dissidents in bringing down what Ronald Reagan rightly called "the Evil Empire."...

In short, Israel the fount and the locus of Zionism is being prodded to abandon Zionism. "Israelophobia" which is, by default, antiSemitism, is spreading like a virus throughout the world, in academia, in legislatures, in the media and among the public. It is no longer in remission and Israeli weakness and appeasement have encouraged it. Furthermore, this virus is spread and supported by an influx of billions upon billions of dollars from Moslem/ Arab/oil producing nations that have infected all our institutions with overt anti-Jewish bias. In my view that makes fear of Islamism a pretty realistic phobia regardless of what you call it.

Laor, E. (2012). The Invention of the "Palestinians": 27 Theses They Won't Let You Hear Argued at the University on Israelophobia, Judaism, the Middle East, and Rela. United States: Xlibris Corporation.
ISBN:9781469151007, 1469151006

Who are the "Palestinians"? When did they come into being? Why? And how so? What theological, political, historical, and ethical significance does their invention have? How should we understand the historical and religious significance of the recent invention of the "Palestinian people" and the possible invention of a new country called Palestine'? In this groundbreaking text, 27 myth-shattering theses are put forth and argued in detail using the resources of Psychoanalysis, Talmud and Torah, Philosophy, and History. The author engages in criticisms of key thinkers (Slavoj Zizek, Alain Badiou, Jean-Paul Sartre, Ernesto Laclau, Edward Said, etc.) and relies on the work of writers as diverse as Joan Peters, Shlomo Sand, and Rashid Khalidi. Radical views are put forth on various topics including Judaism, the Middle East, and Theology. The Invention of the "Palestinians" is unlike any book you have read.

Israelophobia and incitement - The Jerusalem Post
Richard Mather, February 24, 2015
Don't get me wrong. Israelophobia is a form of anti-Semitism, but it also something else. It is antipathy towards Jews and/or hatred of the State of Israel and/or aggravated hostility towards Jewish and gentile Zionists. Referring to this problem as anti-Semitism doesn't do it justice. Israelophobia or anti-Zionism is a specific kind of hatred and it must be categorised as such if it is to contested by the police and the legal-political authorities. In a perfect world, Israelophobia should be treated with the same kind of public aversion as xenophobia or homophobia.

Israelophobia is the product of twenty centuries of Jew-hatred - The Jerusalem Post
Richard Mather, January 8, 2016

[Summary: Contemporary anti-Zionism is the inevitable outgrowth of two thousand years of very deep-seated Judeophobia. The injustices suffered by the State of Israel is a continuation of the theology of contempt, which spans nearly two millennia. Twenty-first century anti-Zionism may not always driven by Christian Jew-hatred, yet centuries of Christian vilification, plus the importation of Islamic anti-Semitism, have provided the foundation for attacks on Israel.]
