High? The Deal of the Century?."Reader comment on item: Anticipating Trump's "Deal of the Century" Submitted by Shoshannah Somerville (Israel), Apr 10, 2019 at 15:12 Who is Trump kidding? This is as much a bad deal as any of the last 3 to 4 presidents endeavored to arrange. It will surely send the wrong message to the Arabs - all of them. It will not assure that the PA will be the Arab leader. (Hamas would not allow for that, AND towns like Jabal Makabur will fight to put Hamas in power. A land link from the West Bank to Gaza will just heighten their ability to strike Jewish cities and institutions. Access to our ports and air field is totally unsafe for us. $25,000 p/family for WHAT? FORCING our families out of their homes will stoop to the level of a Sharon maneuver, which we have painfully realized was the worst thing that we could have done: The Gaza uprisings have taken their toll for 14 years, already. Oh! Lest we forgot that our people were putted against each other,AND it has taken years to resettle only 8500 people!!! Trump's plan is also strategically unviable; and I leave this up to one of the readers to expand on this issue in detail. The bottom line is: that though I voted for Trump, I have not stopped saying to everyone that "he has to be monitored." LET US JUST CALL THIS THE WORST DEAL IF THE CENTURY!
