Let me ask you: Why did the Spanish invaders of the the Americas declare their "jihad" against the native population of the Americas, with forced conversions and murder of non Christians, in-spite of the fact that there are no doctrines in Christianity that would promote such barbarity? And why would the Orthodox Church in Constantinople adopt for a while iconoclasm?

Could it be that they learned it from Muslims? This means that you are reversing cause for effect!

The West prevailed despite of Islam because there is so much that is good about its solid foundation be it the Greek learning, Roman civilization and the Judeo-Christian tradition
