Grigorij, count Putin into your argument. I have been shaking my head for some years now how German top politicians can make defeatist remarks, say how in their mind NATO's renewed commitment to the Baltic states provoked Moscow. Maybe they are thinking: well the Russians cannot watch all German TV. Nor can they have it all translated and passed to Putin. Wrong. Putin speaks German from his glorious spy days in East-Germany. He understands.and needs no translators.
