Reader comment on item: "The Longest and Most Vicious Confrontation": An Interview

Though not always agreeing with Daniel Pipes, as a long time follower I have great respect and admiration for him as a scholar and historian. In this case he does not realize the potential verses in Islam's sacred writings (the Quran) have to transform any Muslim into a "fearless infidel slayer." The verses are there: Quran 2:191 "Slay the unbelievers wherever you find them" Quran 3:28 "Muslims must not take the infidels as friends" Quran 3:85 "Any religion other than islam is not acceptable." Quran 5:33 "Maim and crucify the infidels if they criticize islam" Quran 8:12 "Terrorize and behead those who believe in scriptures other than the Qur'an." Quran 8:60 "muslims must muster all weapons to terrorize the infidels." Quran 8:65 "The unbelievers are stupid; urge the muslims to fight them." Quran 9:50 "When opportunity rises kill the infidels wherever you catch them." Quran 9:30 "The Jews and the Christians are perverts; fight them." Quran 9:123 "Make war on the infidels living in your neighborhood." Quran 22:19 "Punish the unbelievers with garments of fire, hooked iron rods, boiling water; melt their skin and bellies." Quran 47:4 " Do not hanker for peace with the infidels; behead them when you catch them."
For those who claim the bible has similar verses; the Quran is not limited to a tiny state in the middle east. The caliphate vision is worldwide.
These quranic commandments coupled with the widely believed promise of incredible sex in paradise guarantee countless, enthusiastic volunteers from Islamic nations where huge percentages of young men are celibate. This unnatural state is exacerbated by successful Muslims removing as many as four women from the pool of available mates.
ISIS is only the most recent manifestation of Quran obedience. Muslim atrocities will continue without the elimination of Quran adherents.

Daniel Pipes replies:

I am quite aware the aggressive nature of the Koran. But I am a historian and I focus on how Muslims act, not on scripture.
