A few thoughts on Ms. Pollack's remarks

I don't think that our fear of Islamists resident in the U.S. who indoctrinate their young in intolerance and jihad-sanctioned sedition stems from any of the cultural or behavioral mores they may share with Orthodox Jews or, as another poster pointed out, the Amish.

These groups, however superior morally they may feel they are to the prevailing host culture, are not, to my knowledge, interested in replacing the Constitution and American law with a religious code. Also, Orthodox Jews in America shun violence and do not espouse it as a means of impressing their beliefs on others. Those who must confirm how right they are by forcing others to bend the knee to their world view are alien to Americans' benign indifference to their neighbors' spiritual imperatives and give us every reason to be afraid.
