American madrassah

Reader comment on item: A Madrassah in Bridgeview, Illinois

Daniel, I fear that the Time article you allude to mirrors what is taking place all over the Western world. In my state in Australia, for instance, each year the high school certificate scores are compared. Of all the schools, public and private, the Muslim private schools always record the lowest scores by far. Why is this the case? Could it perhaps have something to do with the educational curricula of these schools?

Unfortunately, our state's Government has yet to launch an investigation into such matters and does not appear to be inclined to do so. Madrassahs and mosques teaching and preaching radical Islamist views, financed by oil rich Arab states are springing up everywhere. Meanwhile, our Governments fiddle while civilisation is in danger of going down in flames
