Hi, Tovey. You said,

they do not intend to go away, establishing some kind of quasi caliphate from which to wage an Islamically based terrorist campaign that they hope will lead to a world-wide (ummah) reign of terror. One need only guess who is behind all of this.

I don't get it. Are you saying we're supposed to know who is behing ISIS? By saying "guess", I reckon you mean he's sort of "hidden" -- not the self-declared Calif, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. He has powerful backers, including Turkey and Saudi Arabia. That wasn't too difficult a guess. You went on,

"...like a UN that actually works to protect peace..."

I think that in this situation, there's no "peace" to protect; and I don't even think the brave Fijians and Tongans would want to wear blue helmets in the middle of this mess.

"...America cannot be counted on..."

That's a given. You went on,

", unless there is immediate resolve to put this threat down, the futures of so many are already lost and now uncounted futures are plunged into a darkness that will take multiple generations to return to the light when that time comes."

Honestly, Tovey. You're starting to sound like the Al Gore of Islamate Change.

Just sit back and think for a moment. What does Abu Bakr want? He wants to be King of the Hill. He's not the only one: So does Putin, Obama, Bill Gates, Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, Hu Jintao, Bashar Al-Assad, Yair Lapid,.. I'm too old, to keep track of all the names for the latest contenders. Osama bin Laden is dead; Muamar Gaddafi is dead; Yasser Arafat is dead. They're all dead little bugs, thoroughly squished, who once were kings of their little hills. "Future generations", as you put it, will have their own squishy bugs, their own kings of the hills, to deal with -- no matter how many bugs we "have the resolve" to squish today. In the meantime, there's lots of booming, banging, screaming and hair-pulling going on. Doesn't your Bible say,

"Let not your heart be troubled?"

Shalom shalom
