Reader comment on item: What Antidote to Radical Islam?
in response to reader comment: Islam is protected by Allah(GOD).

"They intend to put out the Light of Allah (i.e. the religion of Islam, this Quran, and Prophet Muhammad SAW) with their mouths. But Allah will complete His Light even though the disbelievers hate (it).

61-8 Al-Quran"

I think their might be a fartwa against you soon. You've added in ou've added your own particular interpretation, words that do not appear the koran i.e.: "(i.e. the religion of Islam, this Quran, and Prophet Muhammad SAW)" The problem with people like you is that you are a fundamentalist. You are incapable of truly understanding, let alone appreciating, other viewpoints. Your viewpoint is all that matters, to you.

"

"At length, when they came to a valley of ants, one of the ants said: "O ye ants, get into your habitations, lest Solomon and his hosts crush you (under foot) without knowing it."

So he smiled, amused at her speech; and he said: "O my Lord! so order me that I may be grateful for Thy favours, which Thou has bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I may work the righteousness that will please Thee: And admit me, by They Grace to the ranks of Thy Righteous Servants."
-- Sura An-Naml [The Ant] (27):18-19"

Ah, the koran, such a fountain of truth, isn't it?

Muslims like to pretend that their 'allah' and the Christian idea of God are interchangeable. They are not. In the Christian Bible (which muslims pretend to respect) : "This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all." 1 John 1:5 & "The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love."

Hindus also see Brahman, the universal creative force , as light. Buddhism also is focussed on light and enlightenment.

All these religions (meant as pathways to re-link us to our true selves) predate islam by centries. All are more effective than islam in achieving that aim. So do not patronise other people by promoting a 'religion' which rips off some its keypoints by cherrypicking from the Talmud and Bible and has proven and continues to prove that it is an abject failure for lifting mankind's collective consciousness.

There are no ridiculous requirements such as having to make a 'hajj' pilgrimage to kiss a meteorite or throw stones at a stone tower - or develop a fondness for arabic - (the language which allah seems to understand best) - or expectations to shave your pubes , or think of oneself as being 'the best of people' and the rest of humanity as so-called 'infidels' or learn that you should walk into a toilet with your left foot first (or was it the right???), you know - because sundry Djinns that mght be hanging around.

Only muslims think Mohammed was any sort of prophet - OK, maybe Bahais (persecuted by muslims) also do.

You are free to believe whatever you want. - but do not be so narcissistic as to think that just because you believe it - it must be right and that everyone else needs to hear your interpretation of an infinite universe throwugh the lens of your primitive arab-centric religio/political system

There are people in metal asylums who hear voices all the time - and others who think they are pieces of fruit.

There's no way to tell them that they might be wrong and might not quite have the full picture.
