Thanks, Waz

Thanks for the computer help. I have a bit on my plate just now, but will get back and check those things out some other time.

In the news, I notice that the leaders of just about every country on earth seem to be dropping in on the new Saudi King. Let's see... I think the Jordanian king was there recently; Pres. Bashir of Sudan with a huge entourage, the PM of Pakistan there now, with an airport reception (the Saudis want Paki troops), Egyptian & Turkish Pres's on the same day, the PM of South Korea, and now Sen. Kerry. Perhaps the UN should relocate to Riyadh.

Meanwhile, it seems the GCC is falling apart. Qatar is definitely still on its pro-Muslim-Brotherhood course, especially in Libya, while the UAE is helping Egypt bomb them; and now Oman has broken ranks with the others in Yemen, keeping its embassy in Sana'a along with those of Iran, Syria, Russia and China.

By the way, the Pakis didn't seem all that eager to help out their rich Saudi brothers. Pakistan reminds me of Turkey: presumably a top US ally, presumably battling against an Islamist insurgency; and even admitting the complicity between the ISS and Al Qaeda. LIke Turkey as well, they don't seem too anxious to rattle the Iranians.

There used to be a contradiction between pleasing the Iranians and pleasing the US. Now, with Obama in full-ahead Muslim gear, that contradiction seems to have just about disappeared. BO's tongue must be getting raw, from licking Rouhani's feet so much. As much as he's like to make the US a dhimmi emirate, though, I think there's a God who will keep him in check. Yes, the US will probably ultimately betray Israel and turn on our staunchest ally; but it will be when God allows it, and no sooner.

BTW, what do you make of Mahmoud Abbas's latest antics? A New York federal court recently labeled the PLO as a terrorist organization; but a DC court more recently demurred, citing lack of jurisdiction. Now that it's official that Abbas is a terrorist, with blood dripping from his fangs, he says he'll "cut off security cooperation with Israel". It's my understanding, that the only RIGHT he ever had to such cooperation was the Oslo Accords, which his most recent move has torn to even finer shreds. Without Oslo, the only "security cooperation" he was entitled to was the security of living in Tunis and being banned from Israel. Cicero's denunciation of Cataline goes through my head at times like these:

O tempora, o mores! Senatus haec intelleget; Consul videt; hic tamen vivit! Vivit? Immo vero etiam in Senatum venit! Fit publici consuli particeps! Notat et designat ad caedem unum quemque nostrum!

Oh the time, oh the customs! The Senate knows this; the Consul sees it; yet it lives! Lives? Why, it even walks in the Senate! It participates in public counsels! It notes and designates for slaughter every one of us!

Who is this one? Abbas? Obama? pick your villain. Oh the times, oh the customs! How long must we endure such madness?
