You are in good companyReader comment on item: Is CAIR a Terror Group? Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Dec 5, 2014 at 08:11 Hi Terri Thank you very much for sharing your experience with us. I must tell you that you are in good company because I understand that CAIR regards the great scholar of the history of early Islam John Wansbourgh (he really changed our understanding of the history of early Islam and dismantled just about every claim by the authors of the Islamic historical tradition) as an "Islamophobe"! So instead of telling us why are his conclusions incorrect we are told that he is an Islamophobe. And the truth is most members of CAIR are non Arabs that cannot read speak or write Arabic or the other languages of the late antique Middle East the likes of Hebrew and Syriac. So it is easier to call him an Islamophobe than to prove him wrong. I understand that CAIR"s other target is Christoph Luxenberg who turned upside down our understanding of what the Qur'an really says. So instead of telling us why is his thesis flawed we hear that he is a Middle Eastern Christian who hates Islam therefore he is an Islamophobe! This is what terrorism is all about and it is to get scholars to shut up Terri: I realize that it is not safe being called an islamophobe even if this term is bogus to the core. If I would live in Florida I would for sure vote for you Submitting....
