I agree with Ron Thompson w/r to the terms "depth" and "gravitas"

I am also mystified at how one can apply these terms to Islam.

As best I can tell, Islam has the "depth" of a seemingly bottomless cesspool, and as to "gravitas" - the (weightiness) of the corpses it's left in it's wake, and the (dignified demeanor) of a hyena. Perhaps stated another way, 'MSTA is to Islam, as a tank is to the Death Star'?

That I could relate to, and if that's what Dr. Pipes was referring to, then I heartily concur.

Finally, they are both obviously blind to the irony of MSTA being an "ersatz" form of Islam, which itself is an "ersatz" form of Judaism.
