Thus the Problem

Reader comment on item: Which Privileges for Islam?

Submitted by Timothy B. Roberts (United States), Mar 15, 2005 at 13:42

Most Wahhabi and Salafist Muslims are incapable of even thinking in such terms. To these, the superiority of Islam is self-evident from the Qur'an and the Ahadith. They deny Islam is spread by the sword then quickly use any "Western" attempt to assert the same body of human rights which we presently offer all people as an attack on the Ummah, and use such "attack" as justification for "defensive" Jihad.

I am still amazed at the hypocrisy of millions of Muslims who insist on a segregated world for themselves--which they are trying to expand at all times--yet deny the Jews the right to live in their own small country under even a modicum of Jewish religious law. It is a huge problem for which I have no rational answer.
