Turkey teeters?

Reader comment on item: Forget Syria, Target Iran

Dr. Pipes, given Putin's offer to "manage" the Syrian wmd's, could this not legitimize and entrench both Russian hegemony, and the Syrian and Iranian regimes, causing a weakened Turkey to swing back to the East, and away from Sunni Arabs?
