Reader comment on item: Arguing against "Limited" Strikes on the Assad Regime

Submitted by Jules Posten (United States), Aug 28, 2013 at 18:45

No matter what Assad may have done to his own people, just who has appointed the US as the worlds policeman? i habe seen newspaper headlines stating that the US is "poised to punish Syria for its actions" who granted us the authority to punish anyone? the UN, as inept as it is, should be the proper venue for any such action this situation reminds me of the South Park inspired film "Team America, World's Police" i just hope Obama comes to his senses and cancels any such "Punishment Mission", which is bound to have severe repercussions.
