Reader comment on item: Arguing against "Limited" Strikes on the Assad Regime

Submitted by rick (United States), Aug 28, 2013 at 12:43

True statesmen would have frozen Assad's assets all across the EU and the world, blockaded all official travel into and out of Syria by sea or air, pressured Russia and China to take responsibility for their client or face international isolation, and given more support to Jordan who is taking in thousands of refugees. On the military/intelligence side resources could be better used to track and contain the remaining WMD's within Syria and in pressuring and enforcing the neutrality of Lebanon and Israel and protecting the Christian minorities in the area.

Alas I expected more from Kerry then apparently he can deliver.
