Is Turkey Leaving the West?

The SCO emblem is interesting. Looks a little familiar. Seems someone who lives on Pennsylvania Avenue has something similar for his logo. Turkey is a conundrum having never really been just East or just West, caught somewhere between Europe and the Middle East over the centuries. Islamists and Communists make strange alliances when you consider that social values are openly "what have you" among Russians and many Chinese as well. Pick your poison if you can pay for it! They are not big on burkas or hijabs (sp?).

Perhaps a time spent by Turkey with the SCO will engage a "style change" for women! Both the Russians and Chinese are big on Western styles, Western Food, and other amenities. Erdogan takes a country with him and I wonder what will happen when his wife sees Putin's wife's latest fashions! These crazy people who think they can live without the West or Western values or life styles are in fantasy land. Good food and good medicine and technology emerged because of Western freedom and creativity. However, absolute power corrupts absolutely. I would feel sorry for Erdogan if he ever really stepped on Putin's toes accidentallly whilst on that side. Putin doesn't take prisoners. Erdogan may think he can do as he pleases for now and probably can, but playing poker with Putin? May be better to fold his cards and crawl back to the EU while he still can!
