Gap in the mindset

Reader comment on item: Post-Mortem on the Muhammad Protests
in response to reader comment: Free speech or a duty to insult?

The thought pattern here proves to me yet again that there is a fundamental gap in the mind set of the writer/commentator and those with the so called normal Western world view built on the principals of individual freedoms one of which is freedom of speech.

No! There is "no thought for the victims of the riots they will probably stir" because it does not enter a normal Western person's mind that there will or should be a riot. Why should there be? Normal Western adults simply don't kill people if someone insults them. It is not normal Western adult behavior. If the gap in the mindset is not addressed, the killing will continue. I believe that any serious adult should understand this.
