"Moderate"?

Reader comment on item: Palestinian Word Games

Submitted by Marcus Mann (Israel), Jan 10, 2005 at 05:43

With the election of Abu Mazen (Mahmoud Abbas) as head of the Palestinian National Authority, numerous news outlets are referring to him as a 'moderate Palestinian'.

This, for the man who campaigned on the shoulders of known terrorists, who last week described Israel as "the Zionist Enemy', who in March 2003 said 'The intifada must continue', who wrote a classic piece of anti-semitic literature titled "The Other Side: The Secret Relationship between Nazism and the Zionist Movement.

This, they call a 'moderate'??
