May I ask you a question?

Reader comment on item: Palestinian Word Games

Submitted by Octavio Johanson (Italy), Jan 4, 2005 at 12:30

Dear Mr. Pipes,

You seem to identify the issues very well and explain them very clearly. But I have got a question: HOW DO WE (WESTERN CONSERVATIVES) WIN THE WORD GAMES?

I agree with you: Mr. Abbas is not a "prime minister". Liberals and socialists have twisted the English language. Palestine does not exist either.

I know that you hold Europeans responsible for their support for terrorism.

But when it comes to Political Correctness, English-speaking countries are much worse than European ones.

Anyway, I would appreciate it if you answered to my question. How do we deal with liberals, socialists and other people who shape the language?

Good question. (1) Patronize the media that gets it right. (2) Get it right yourself.
