Reader comment on item: Obama's Leftist Conundrum

Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Nov 28, 2011 at 15:58

While it may be proffered that the evident contradictory attitudes and actions of the current American Chief Executive do not bode well for the aspirations of the progressive leftist agenda and at the same time the evidence builds that the progressive leftist apparatchik struggle to get in place as much of the agenda as possible to ensure the most difficult road for the opposition, it cannot be helped to notice that all may be following yet another direction to a goal not yet completely manifest. After all, if one could be called globalist for entertaining a global platform that seems to be warmed up for the Chief Executive even before being placed into office, here is the best example.

Contradictions abound for a simple reason: neither side can truly say that the current Chief Executive is playing according to a known set of American influenced rules. This is not too hard to understand given the educational process the current Chief Executive experienced, living in an unrepatriated childhood where the history of the United States was viewed differently that if sent to an America middle school; and the post graduate work tutored by a decidedly leftist influence. But is that cause to wonder?

Let the proofs show themselves. It need not be recounted here how many times one promise was made that it has yet to bring about a continuing breakdown of all that America once stood for. Do we remember the sacrifices made to keep America ready to battle all offenses to the liberties and freedoms once enjoyed without compromise? No; such things are expunged because if one does try to publically acknowledge a reliance upon the Eternal Sovereign in the mercies America benefitted from, challenges from the mortal legal quarter have no empty want or shortages of lawyers ready to take away Constitutional rights of the many to satiate the agnosticism of the few.

Is there a perception of a lack of leadership from the current America Chief Executive? While the country flails for the lack of leadership from either side of the political realm, is there any wonder that neither side have the vision or the encouragement to get the country back on a course that would make the founders proud? Look around; the detritus of political intransigence has been going on for decades, much of it unchecked. Do we need leadership to get us out; or have the voters been getting what they asked for? That depends upon the majority vs. the minority. This is the part the lawyers love; they get paid in either case….until the money runs out…..and how long before that happens? As any lawyer will answer about policy contradictions: that depends.
