Obama is confused and is confusing

Reader comment on item: Obama's Misplaced Mideast Optimism

Americans cannot demand clarity from obama as long they themselves are confused. When eleven saudi arabians attack america they chose to bomb afghanistan. As soon as they find pakistan helping the militants attack american targets they increase aid to pakistan. As soon as islamists want to topple their dictators they send their bombers to help islamists.

Asking for clarity from obama is useless as long as americans make foreign policy out of confusion and chose dictators for friends, snub democracies, offer iftar parties in white house, accuse indians of religious discrimination while keeping absolutely quiet about pakistan, egypt, indonesia and malaysia. A foreign policy born of double standards, duplicity and deceit cannot but be confused. Saudi arabia is america's staunchest friend while their school texts teach that jews are pigs and christians are apes. A foreign policy based on the carburetor and spark plugs can only go so far.

One's confusion is directly proportional to the confusion one is causing.
