Islam has lost its' identity.

It is a lame excuse to defend Islam by saying that the so called scholar might have interpreted Quran wrongly. Is there any authentic authority to interpret quran correctly? Quran is that coin that has been handled by many hands and it has lost its' embossed image upon it and thereby it has lost its' identity. It is required to be either scapped it or it is to be remolded.
