I ain't a muslim, neither i'm here to ridicule any religion. But what i find humouring me, is that sometimes people mistake shadow for a person. Islam, no doubt once ruled a large part of civilised world and was developed for that time. But, has any muslim thought why it was developed then and not now? It was not just blind faith that islam reached its heights. Religion was coupled with logic and questioning. But today, I hear many muslims say that if they revert to their ways of 12 century, the world will be a better place.
hello?!? the world is already better place. the mortality rate, diseases, etc have declined. There are human rights. animal rights.

Times have changed. Though some principles never change, but some social norms do change.
Few centuries ago, due to constant war, men were less in number than women, so it was social solution to allow polygamy. but, today it is not the same situation. So, why can't muslims think with a cool mind and see the bigger picture. why do they consider it an attack on islam is someone show's them the bigger picture. I guess this is the attitude that is holding back the islamic population. If we revert to what we were in 12 century! That's what the Iranians thought. but what progress has happened post islamic revolution. so, stop beating round the bush.

Progress is not something which one religion can bring. Progress is when the mind is open and receptive. A mind obsessed with thinking my way is the right way can never progress. This attitude is very evident in the propaganda of the so called Muslim scholars. They all claim that Quran is 100% right. Then they embark on journey to design words to make scientific discoveries agree to quran.
