How Islamists came to dominate European Islam

Reader comment on item: How Islamists Came to Dominate European Islam

The Muslims in the Arab world had nothing to lose but their hunger and starvation. They invaded and occupied any land which promised them food and shelter in aplenty. An invaders come prepared to wage a war while the invaded are caught unawares. Islam teaches and preaches violent death to the Kafirs (the unholy). This perhaps explains the course of violence taken by the Muslims as they have not learnt to co-exist with the followers of other faiths.
