The Jews are a people, not just a faith,and have exercised in Israel their right of self determination. Ignore that and you fall into the trap of Arab and Moslem opponents of Israel who refuse to recognise it as the national homeland of the Jewish people.

I am a secular Jewish humanist, and a retired Israeli diplomat. By your definition I cannot be a Jew.
