Reader comment on item: Assessing Binyamin Netanyahu's Speech at Bar-Ilan University

Submitted by Don Saar (United States), Jun 15, 2009 at 10:20

Dear Prof. Pipes,

What Bibi outlined in his Bar - Ilan speech was the very, very least that outside, objective political logic would accept. However, owing to the basic fact that the Arabics do not accept Israel and never will, all that Bibi stated is both theoretical and moot. The real threat comes from fascist Teheran both to Israel and to its own people as we all now are witnessing.

Therefore, I strongly suggest that Bibi and the rest of Israel turn its attention and energy to bombing Teheran's nuclear facilities to the best of its ability. This will undoubtedly directly bring the US into the fight which, by any measure, is already in this fight. The end result of Israel's bombing and missile campaign will be the toppling of this fascist Ayatollah regime in Teheran to the greater benefit of Iran's people and the safety and security of the West.

Thanks for listening,
