Reader comment on item: Rooting for Ahmadinejad

Dr. Pipes:

1. Do you think that the best way to deal with Iran's nuclear program is to launch a pre-emptive strike as soon as possible and thereby destabilise the country? If not, what alternative do you offer?

2. What do you think of the prospect of a revival of Zoroastrianism as a way to lead to regime change in Iran?

3. Do you think Mohammed Khatami was a sincere reformist? It seems to me that all the presidential candidates ever chosen have espoused Khomeini's ideology.

4. Did you know that the hostility to dogs in Islamic societies arose from the fact that they were companions for most Persian Zoroastrians?

Yours faithfully,

Aymenn Jawad.
