Converts to Islam Also

in response to reader comment: Muslim Conversion?

Submitted by Robinoz (Australia), Jan 27, 2009 at 18:07

There are numerous people also converting to Islam, especially in places like the Middle East where it is "in your face".

Some are brought about by marriage where a partner has to convert to marry. Others are apparently doing it by choice. It has to be said of muslims that they are more devout as a group than Christians, especially in countries where Islam is embedded into the government and society eg, Saudi Arabia.

In Turkey, which is a secular state (unlike Saudi Arabia), Islam has less control over the masses and therefore the degree of devoutness is less.

If you get children young enough, you can brain wash them to do almost anything. Islam is acculturated into children much more strongly than Christianity (at least in Australia where I grew up) and by a certain age, they are stuck with it for good.
