Reader comment on item: Bangladeshis Banned by Bahrain

Submitted by resident of bahrain for 9 years (Oman), Jul 30, 2008 at 23:06

just to update you.. read gulf daily news, the english paper from bahrain... the law of bagladeshi workers being banned has been lifted... all are free to work and live in bahrain regardless of who they are.. jews also are bahraini locals and the first jewish lady to be posted as ambassador to usa had just been signed and she starts her job soon.

this is contrary to what so many western people think, that jews are not allowed in arabia, well yes they are and they have synagogues also. i went to school with 2 jewish sisters..one then reverted to islam and is still muslim till date 9 years later.
