"Admitting Turkey to European Union would be an unmitigated disaster for the European culture."

I passionately and whole-heartedly agree. An opposite view can only be based either on deep ignorance or haughty strategic calculations (e.g. by the Bush Administration)—or, very likely, on the long-range plans of the jihadists, with Europe in the cross hairs.

PM Erdogan, BTW, has issued a proclamation that there's no such thing as Moderate Islam. There's only one kind of Islam.
