Great agenda to pursue in the next decade. However . . .

Reader comment on item: Why Oslo's Hopes Turned to Dust

The Oslo accords and the "Road Map" were doomed to failure from the very outset. The state of Israel, though tired of a state of war that has lasted over 55 years now, must root out the source of the problem, starting with Yassir Arafat. Then rid themselves of the other Islamic fundamentalist terrorists.

The Israelis must remind the world of the true history of the area, that the Hashemite kingdom of Jordan, land ceded by Israel, was established as the homeland for the "Palestianians", who are actually Jordanians. To divide Israel into two states would be the establishment of a second "Palestinian" homeland. The "Palestianians" will not be satisfied with that situation either because there will still be a state called Israel.

I think your agenda outlined for the next decade is the proper course for Israel, not to mention the USA, to pursue. However, the "Palestinians" and other Muslims, will never accept nor recognize the existence of the state of Israel. Why? It goes against their religion. For them it is not the size of the state of Israel that is the problem, it's very existence is the problem. On the other hand, which is politically incorrect to state, the problem for the Israelis, and the USA, is Islam.

If the Israelis are successful in maintaining the existence and survival of their homeland, to the embarassment of the Muslims, it will prove the Qur'an to be a false religious book, which it is; Muhammad a false prophet, which he was; and Isalm a false religion, which it is. Additional politically incorrect statements, but the truth nonetheless.
