ideology challegeReader comment on item: Al-Qaeda's Limits Submitted by dave murphy (United States), May 31, 2003 at 02:36 if we are to accept that ideology is to be the principle, how then does a sovereign nation confront international ideology? What are the instruments of challenge and how does one measure the progression of ideology over time? please respond. i have read several of the articles on this site and have found them to be of the highest intellectual caliber, yet as time progresses the arguments trend toward the abstract and not the tangible. i do understand the concepts mentioned are vast, complex, and derivative in nature, yet i struggle to understand the fundamental forces that shape their direction and momentum. All ideologies have weaknesses and challenges, what are they for radical islam? And how do differing ideologies impose obstacles to their progression? thanks dcm.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
